Outdoor Sex

Outdoor sex is therefore sexual intercourse in the open air. The sex does not have to take place exclusively in nature. Sex in the car, in the changing room of the open-air swimming pool and in other places also belong to the collective term outdoor sex.

For many couples, the thought of sex outdoors has a special appeal: On the one hand, you can feel the sun, the wind, or the water on your skin and perhaps look up at the blue sky or the stars. On the other hand, outdoor sex is associated with the not inconsiderable and often decisive danger of possibly being caught during physical interaction. So outdoor sex has a voyeuristic aspect on top of that, which has a strong arousing effect on some people.

It is important to know, however, that outdoor sex in Germany is highly officially forbidden. Anyone caught having sex outdoors, whether at the lake or in the park, must expect to be charged with a criminal offence. The offence is then called “causing a public nuisance” and can be punished with a prison sentence of up to twelve months or correspondingly high fines. Even this does not stop many fans of outdoor sex in this country from their activities. After all, the thrill of possibly being observed additionally heats up the eroticism of many couples.

In some other countries, this is handled similarly as in Germany, i.e., (lighter) prison sentences or fines. In Muslim countries, on the other hand, outdoor sex is punished extremely strictly and severely (high prison sentences), Spain sometimes charges up to 75,000 euros for it. However, in other countries, such as Norway and Finland, you go completely unpunished if you are caught having sexual activities in the great outdoors.

People who regularly have sex outdoors claim that the energy in nature inspires sex. Accordingly, one feels at one with the surroundings and especially strongly connected to nature. Outdoor sex is therefore also considered the most natural form of sexual intercourse. The relaxed environment on holiday prompts many couples – contrary to their other habits – to try out outdoor sex. This can actually be a breath of fresh air in a relationship, as you leave the familiar surroundings and rooms protected from strangers' glances to give yourself to each other. However, it is advisable to find out in advance whether there are any penalties, and if so, to what extent.
