Vagina types and hairstyles

Only since 2018 has there been a study which endeavoured to establish an average value for vaginas. The width and length of the labia and the distances between the individual areas of the vulva (clitoris, urethra, vaginal entrance) to each other and to the anus were measured. It was found that there simply cannot be an average value or that this seems completely inappropriate. The labia minora, for example, can be between one and 18 centimetres wide! With this diversity, any average value would be misplaced.

Nevertheless, four types of vagina can be roughly determined. These are judged by looking at the vulva with the legs closed:

1. only the outer labia are visible. These appear large and thick.
2. only the outer labia are visible. However, they appear slender and firm. This type is called the perfect vagina by many women.
3. the labia minora are visible and appear between the labia majora. The clitoral skin (the skin surrounding the clitoris) is also usually visible when the legs are closed.
4. the labia majora are not adjacent to each other, thus revealing the clitoral mantle, while the labia minora remain hidden.

The hair is pulled out in the direction of growth with the help of a sticky mixture of sugar, water and lemon juice. The principle is the same as waxing. Here, too, the hairs stick to the mixture. However, as the hair is pulled out in the direction of growth and not against it, this version is slightly less painful.

Epilating the pubic hair is rather unpopular and probably the most painful. An epilator consists of many small tongs that grab the hairs and pull them out. Beauticians generally advise against pubic hair epilation. The reason is that the risk of injury is too high.

If you still want to try it, you should keep the skin of the area to be epilated very tight at all times. Cooling pads and soothing lotions help to reduce the pain.

A quick and clean result is also achieved with depilatory cream. It only takes about five to ten minutes to remove all the hair. However, you should make sure that the cream is explicitly intended for the intimate area and does not touch the mucous membranes. The extent to which lotions should be applied after depilation depends on the depilatory cream used. Be sure to read the package insert!
